Hello

I need to run old version of Matlab and maple on my PC LM 8.1. I managed
to get almost everything working but there is a problem with compiling mex
functions: gcc-lib5 won't install! The funny thing is that I had no problem
to "rpm" the file on LM 8.0. Here is the error:

 rpm -Uvh --force gcc-libc5-2.7.2.3-1.i386.rpm
Preparing... ###########################################
[100%]
1:gcc-libc5 error: unpacking of archive failed on file
                            doc/gcc-libc5-2.7.2.3-1:
cpio: Archive file not in header

This is a standard redhat package. Is there a way to force to installation
even with errors (I couldn't care less about the docs)?

Many thanks

Ed
