After you've installed Mandrake, go to rpmdrake and add a "security"
source.  Then update to the latest kernel and everything else you see
fit.

What do you want to secure?  Basically uninstall/deactivate every
service/server you don't need.

Uhm, I think so, yes.  However, it's much easier to have X installed and
just not use it.
