and under 2.4.8-34.1mdk/ do you have kernel/drivers/ with lots of sub directories (2.4.8-34.1mdk is your current kernel right?) there should be char/joystick under there with all the modules you need - ns558.o.gz, emu10k1-gp.o.gz plus others (i use analog.o.gz for my saitek cyborg) you should also have sound/emu10k1/ there with emu10k1.o.gz in
