Well, yes... First use 'mtx' to access the changer unit to load and unload tapes. Then use 'mt' to access the tape unit for the usual stuff once the tape is loaded. Finally, use tar or whatever to push pull data on/off the tape. Note that the changer (library) unit is on the same SCSI ID but a different LUN from the tape drive; usually the drive is LUN 0 and the changer is LUN 1. Note also that these devices are normally access through the /dev/sg* devices. For instance if device 4 LUN 0 is /dev/sgb and device 4 LUN 1 would be /dev/sgc.
