Ever since I started using GNU/Linux (2-3 years now), I have had audio/video synchronisation problems in RealPlayer (currently version 8). The sound seems to run fine, but over time the video falls increasingly behind. If I pause then play the clip again, the sync is restored, but progressively worsens again. This only happens with clips playing from a local source - A/V Internet streams run OK.
I have tried disabling custom sampling rates and lowering the playback performance, but they don't help very much. I use GNOME, and RealPlayer's sound runs through ESD. Any ideas? TIA. -- Sridhar Dhanapalan "I'm a bastard. I have absolutely no clue why people can ever think otherwise. Yet they do.
