Yeh, I've been there, and all it says is the I128 is supported and
should work. That's why I've got such a quandry. 

The XFree86.0.log reveals the following just before it bombs in X4.2:

Preinit seems to go fine, but it bombs when it goes to map memory?? I
don't have a clue why. I can boot into LM7.2 and hit startx and
everything is great???
