Edit the /etc/sysconfig/vncservers file.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want your regular desktop to be
remote controlled (kind of like screen, but for X)?  I've never tried
that, but vnc will not do that for you.  Running rfbdrake might be the
answer for you there.
