I installed Mandrake 9 yesterday, no apparent problems. I tried using my HP 5p SCSI scanner today and xsane can't see it. If I do "cat /proc/scsi/scsi" both my SCSI devices are recognized. I have a CD burner set up as IDE-SCSI that had been working fine along with the scanner. Now neither work. I notice when I boot the system the first message I get is that the scanner SCSI card driver doesn't get loaded, then I get "insmod exited abruptly". Where should start looking for the problem? It's beginning to look like a general SCSI problem.
