When my main desktop system is quiet - just XMMS doing it's thing, evolution and mozilla running, maybe a console session or two, but nothing much going on - I'm used to seeing total cpu usage of 2 - 4% (excluding setiathome of course). Today I noticed artsd using 15% of the cpu consistently. Stopped it and restarted and it seems OK now.
