I have built and installed the alsa drivers (and libs) for alsa 0.9.0. Upon starting my newly rebuilt kde 3.0.3 for the first time, I get an arts error message about an inability to open /dev/dsp (permission denied). What permission is supposed to be assigned to /dev/dsp to make it usable by any and all? It is presenty root.root. Should it be root.audio? Or do I just need to change the permissions on it to...rw for everyone?
