Sony VX88 laptop, Mandrake 9.0, XFRee86 4.2.1-3mdk, cooker kernel
2.4.20-2mdk (as well as 2.4.20-1mdk, 2.4.19-19mdk, 2.4.19-17mdk).

I can semi-reliably produce a kernel panic by having a cable plugged
into the integrated eepro100 interface when logging out of X or shutting
down from GDM. Unplugging the NIC first seems to prevent the panic.
