I got a CenDyne (Lite-ON) 48x12x48 burner at Office Max for $39 after rebates. There are lots of these type deals at BestBuy, Office Depot, etc., on several brands. I've never had a problem in Mandrake 9.0 in the months since I got it. What a deal! Robert Crawford
