md 9.0, aha-2945, conner ctt8000s tr4, is what i have set up on 1 of my boxes.
diff is that i had them installed before i installed md 9.

i just finished doing a little checking on kudzu, only to find that kudzu is not
in md 9.0. :(

one more reason that i dislike all this gui crapola that is being used during
boot. otherwise, i would have noted kudzu missing during boot.

i am 'old to unix, new to linux', and not up on a solution to your problem.
therefore, i am posting this back to list as i feel sure that there will be
someone who can give you info that you need.

now, if you need some scripts for doing your tape backups, check 'expert'
archives for where i posted a reply to mark weaver.

mark and a few others that i have passed scripts along to have found much
success with cpio. i well imagine that you will find same.
