So we are forced to consider a PC Pentium4 with a motherboard which would contain ISA slots. I've looked for such kind of motherboards in my nearest local distributors without success.
You could try industrial computers, e.g http://www.advantech.com, readily available in spain (IIRC http://www.tempel.es sells them, but there should be other sources).
These systems are usually made with a passive backplane with many isa/pci slots, and the real motherboard is just a card that plugs in one of the pci slots.
Beware: this is expensive stuff
