A message on another mailling list has come up with this in the header:
content-transfer-encoding: 7bit x-plaintext: IMSTP.gif of type image/gif deleted content-type: text/plain; type="multipart/alternative"
and lower down:
-- -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]
I have not seen this before. Is it being done by the mailing list handler, do you think? I like the result.

Hi Anne,
That is very likely what is going on. With the advent of viruses being either embedded in image files, or being sent "as" image files list server software, for a large part, now extracts things like images from messages sent to mailing lists.
