I tried it but it doesnt work. /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 still don't exist. Modules for usb are loaded such as a viser module. There are still reported errors like this:
devfsd[143]: error copying: "/lib/dev-state/usb/tts/0" to "/dev/usb/tts/0" error copying: "/lib/dev-state/usb/tts/1" to "/dev/usb/tts/1"
how should I solve the problem ?

hotsync is canceled then and no files in dev are created. Any suggestion how to solve this problem ? Thanks Shamot
Assuming you've got devfs running on boot try setting the device to use /dev/pilot. that should do the trick. If you're attempting a hotsync with Kpilot I'd suggest you also give Jpilot a try. I've found this to work wonderfully. I'm using a Handspring Visor and am having no trouble what-so-ever hotsyncing my visor with Jpilot.
you may want to check you the HandSpring Visor HOWTO in the Mandrake Documentation. I have a feeling you'll find quite a bit of good information contained in there that will help you accomplish what you're after. thats where I got the info to get mine going. worked real well.
