The last 8.2 --> 9.1 upgrade I did wasn't an upgrade but had to be a fresh
install. The machine concerned was running on XFS, and the installer kept
choking. I had the same problem with a 9.0 machine yesterday trying to go to
9.2. On that one the upgrade didn't like the flavour of Reiser FS used on
9.0.
