Primero, If your box is like my compaq (Armada M700) then ACPI is build to an interim draft not the final standard. Does APM work for you? I had to drop back to it because like I said no matter what OS ... it doesn't work right. (my batt actually reads 0 no matter what I do, even if I remove events entirely.) James
