Dear Gentlemen, I had some problems with F-Spot when migrating from FC6 to the latest Ubuntu Feisty. When F-Spot loads, it keeps throwing "Can't connect to d-bus" messages on the terminal. After a bit of investigation, I found out that the the version of sqlite that f-spot is using in FC6 is v2 of sqlite while Feisty uses v3. I migrated photos.db to v3 of sqlite by dumping the whole database and then created a new database using sqlite3. It is working correctly now.
This is not a bug report, but rather, a suggestion to put this info up on the f-spot website. I spent a couple of hours trying to find out the cause of the problem and in my opinion, it will save fellow f-spot users a lot of time if this information gets posted somewhere on the website. I am willing to write a short howto on this problem and email it here so that anyone with access to the F-Spot website (I can't create an account) can post it on the F-Spot website. What do you think? Cheers, Jeremy Tan _______________________________________________ F-spot-list mailing list F-spot-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list
