Enough to convince me. Please find a patch adding the ability to tag specific areas of a photo at http://confucius.ca/fspot/tag_area-001.patch. You should also get the 3 PNG images from http://confucius.ca/fspot/ and place them in the icons/ directory. The patch is against revision 3849. I also plan to extend the work a little bit more so that a tag may have a colour associated with it so that you can have different regions marked in different colours. The association will likely be to the tag itself and not the "photo_tag" entry, so the colour will be consistent for all markings of a particular tag. Most of the work is done, I just need to add some GUI surrounding selecting the colour. To use the functionality in the patch, you may make a selection while in the single photo view mode and click on the monkey icon on the toolbar. After selecting the tag to associate, the region will be surrounded in a green box. Right-clicking on that region will show at the top of the menu the name of the tag, and at the bottom two new menu items; one to remove the tagged region and another to associate the region with a new tag. There is also a menu item under the View menu to control if tagged regions are shown or not (you may not always want them to be seen). Comments and suggestions appreciated, -Rob _______________________________________________ F-spot-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list
