I'm getting the error below with the 0.4.3.1-0ubuntu1<https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/f-spot/0.4.3.1-0ubuntu1>version of F-Spot. On the previous dist of Ubuntu I had had a self-compiled version of f-spot installed, but I'm pretty sure I have removed all traces of it now. Any ideas?
:~$ f-spot Starting new FSpot server Unrecognized deviceID 258a The program 'f-spot' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 381 error_code 11 request_code 159 minor_code 3) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
