Hmmm...I like the IDEA of the stack of changes applied to a picture - that's
neat, BUT it locks you in. So, if you ever want to take your photos and use
another editor or organizer (like F-spot), you're kind of hosed - you lose all
the changes you've made to the photos.

That, for me, is enough reason to steer far clear of shotwell. F-spot is a bit
better in this regard with it's "funny" naming convention of new versions of
photos, but at least that gives me a new photo that I can work with if I stop
using f-spot.

Now...if they create an open standard format for this that catches on in other
photo managers, and which is stored in the photos themselves...they might get my
attention.
