Did some more testing, I have 2 fuji cameras x100s and xe-2.

Raw files from x100s end up with wrong date if I rename photos with
exiftool, but if I just copy files dates are ok.

Raw files from  xe-2 allways end up sorted with the date modified, not date
the photos were taken. No matter if I use exiftool or not.

Canon files work fine (5d, 5dmkII, 7d)
Sony nex-5 had the same problem at some point but it was fixed by some
update.
