Chuck...that was an excellent letter and something that we need to jump on
soon. A concerted letter/e-mail barrage from the racers of the region needs
to happen very soon. I am also interested in looking into this problem for
potential editorial columns on eformulacarnews.com and in FormulaCar
Magazine.

Please forward me the necessary contact information so that I can interview
the correc people to get their 'official' statement and motivations on
paper.

When it comes to Regional SCCA racing, it high time that all the classes get
off their asses and organize Challenge-style series that pick and choose
Regionals for mass competition. The EWC in the Central Division uses the
power of a 25+ grid to demand a sole race group. The guys run other
Regionals as well, but for a Regional Club to get the money from big formula
car entries, they need to treat the category with some respect. Lumping
F500 and FV with SRF is disgusting and dangerous.

Respectfully,

The F5's were faster than the SRF's at last summer's Daytona regional
race, however they split started us behind the SRF's.

We picked our way through them the entire time. Great to draft behind,
but not much else. They also brake several seconds sooner than we do.

One F-5 got it's nose chomped by an SRF. No injuries or damage other
than the nose. You had to be really cautious and forget about passing
in the turns or turn in points to stay alive.

Despite the lack of snow, we're planning on being there with 850 lbs. of
love.
Time to break (-in) the 493.
