Ok...I'm supposed to working but....from the SCCA's website results of
the Houston Tour....
FM winner was Greg Piper 84.610
I don't recognize the CM or BM driver's names from the results so I'm
not sure if they're a top driver like Greg is. Tommy Saunders or Stuart
Lumpkin were not driving.
SS winner was Eric Strelneiks 87.328
using PAX, Eric's time was 73.35 and Greg's time was 75.04
(I don't know how the weather or run groupings affected this)
You can probably relax John. :-)
Cajunchiroman, compare Greg's times to yours to see the gap to be made
up. Regarding your gearing question...Anything from approx 4:1 to 6:1
has been used for SoloII. I think most folks are between 4.2:1 and
5:1 and a lot depends on clutching. Next time you are racing and guys
like Greg are around, take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions
and ask for advice while they can look at your car. Good luck,
