Jim,
Yes - Butch and I have already discussed this issue and I have already posted
similar info on the Vee list. I don't WANT the DSR's in our group any more
than you do, but we just can't expect our own group with so few cars. I did
argue and finally got ONE of the ProIT's dropped (it was a double ProIT last
year and at the last event) so we could get this grouping - it's better than
ALL OPEN WHEEL, believe me - AND it's better than being grouped with SRF! At
least most of the DSR are small enough to see us and ALL should be faster than
us, so they should have good visibility and no trouble passing. I'd hope that
they could wait till we exit the corner rather than dive bombing us. Keep in
mind that GT1,2,3,GTL have been putting up with this for years - as well as
EPb&.HP - don't forget Grand Am with prototypes and MUCH slower cars. We've
been lucky for a long time - our time is UP L. We just have to hope everyone
comes to grips with the issues and deals with them appropriately.

Something we just have to live with until we get the number going again (if
that ever happens). It'll be interesting to see if any more SRF's show up
this time - and SM's - last time they made a pretty decent group together
(ugly in qualifying, but good in the race with split start - till the FC
yellow anyway).

Stevan,
Looks like we need more entries to have any influence in race groupings and
track time. Whatever you can do to encourage the FV's to come in higher
numbers will help. I have already sent this to our F500 list. If you know
how to send this to the FF list, please do so.

TIA,
Jim
