Chokes will only be used when starting the engine from Stone Cold. And in my case I don't use the chokes at all. A shot of ether into the air cleaners and between the 1st and 3rd pull it fires. Warm the engine up for 2-3 minutes and it will fire first pull for the balance of the day as long as it is run every 2 hours or so....a litter shorter time if the ambient is really cold....in the 40's or 30's....run just enough to keep a little heat in the engine.
