For the first idea, I guess you're thinking of saving time by loading a
layout from a similar face then just adjusting the fiducial points ?
For the grid idea, you can do this ! Just create a grid image yourself,
then load it as a background image ('View'->'Render'->'Background Image').
For the angle-view, in the long term we're working toward handling a wider
array of angles, lightings and expressions. This is a challenging task so
will take a while :)
