By statement handling, I assume you mean something like Java's

Looking forward to it.

Now that we have bindings for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, and  
ODBC, it would be nice if somebody could develop an abstraction  
layer, like JDBC. And the libs/tupledb O/R mapper, which right now is  
sitting on top of SQLite, should be rewritten to use this abstraction  
layer.
