Yes, but I think it conveys much less useful information than before; you have to guess how the word will be used in the future if reused and you may well end up with a call to this word followed by a drop. I have the same issue when I use a mutable structure in my code. When the topmost parameter on the stack is an assoc, should I let it on the stack or use keep at the calling site? I prefer the later.
