It's not an ideal solution, but the X11 UI should still work on Tiger.
"X11=1 make" will link the VM with the proper libs, IIRC. You can
solve the freetype problem by ganking the system's freetype lib from /
usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.dylib and stuffing it inside Factor.app.
