I installed libgl1-mesa-swx11 (which replaced libgl1-mesa-glx by a software renderer) and suddenly the screen corruption is gone: USE: opengl.capabilities gl-vendor . "Brian Paul" So it seems to be indeed a problem of the R300 DRI, I'll take a look at the Mesa bugtracker. But the flickering on resize is still there, this is not Mesa's fault. regards, Marek
