your web server log files contain access requests to phpMyAdmin
better to protect phpMyAdmin access to *only* your local machine(s).
I edit:
/etc/apache2/conf.d/phpMyAdmin.conf
and add:
<Directory /srv/www/htdocs/phpMyAdmin>
#do not allow from the outside world
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from All
Allow from 192.168.1.0/24 127.0.0.1
all attempts outside my local network get 404's.
