Tom T: I have quoted Patanjali from Alistair Shearer which was recommended by MMY as closest to the actual truth rather than a word for word translation. >From chapter 3 entitled Expansion: Sutra 55 and the final one from this chapter. And when the translucent intellect is as pure as the Self, there is Enlightenment. >From having talked about this sutra many times it appears that the intellect is translucent because it is still in a body made of DNA. The translucent value seems more appropriate for what needs to happen. It can never be clear but it can know THAT as the final discrimination. How? Don't know but it seems to be part of the getting of it all. Sorry if this seems like put down but it seems to be a subtle but important point to know that translucent maybe is as good as it gets. If you are waiting for absolutely clear there may be a wait. Don't forget that glass can be and often is translucent.
