to wit, the snake and the string, again...

The only times I've gotten into an uncomfortable place regarding 
meditation is when I blindly attempted to follow a routine based on 
someone else's definition of what I needed for enlightenment.

This seems to be a common thread regarding these 'meditation horror 
stories'. The fault lies with the practitioner not living fully; not 
using their God-given right of critical thinking. 

I understand that the seeker's desperation for the implied full 
gratification of enlightenment coupled with the brainwashing by our 
supposed 'instant gratification' society plays into this as well...

The point being that it is not the practice itself of Yoga that is to 
blame for the practitioner's suffering.
