Specifically, if I remember correctly they were against the Siddhis, 
which they explained operated in some manner with the cooperation of 
demons.

I guess one of the things I learned by this event was that Maharishi is 
correct - different belief systems are like wearing different colored 
spectcles- disscussions tend to be futile. The other thing I learned 
was that a person's level of consciousness has very little to do with 
their position within the movement. It was really like a group of 
middle-aged children yelling in the parking lot.

I can hear the protest now: You can't judge a person's level of 
consciousness by their behavior! To which I will pre-emptively raise 
the question: If meditation/Christianity doesn't eventually improve 
your behavior, what good is it? And why bother?



Why do you think that protesters are against peace?
They might see some others things that you didn't.
