I feel some real progress has been made through the medium of this group insofar as empowering you peeps. The shared dialogues show us all our shortcomings. I'm glad that none of you will have to go through the depression and hell that I went through upon finding that TM wasn't going to give me the support of nature that it promised. It wasn't going to force people to give me jobs that I didn't deserve. It wasn't going to do what it was built up to do, that is, do less by accomplishing more. It wasn't going to put the right answers in my brain on tests. Or magicakally attract money. Or even make me enlightened, Or even a good person.  TM is a good meditation. I still believe. One day I might change my mind about that too. Of course I don't really do TM, I do the TM technique and six advanced TM techniques. Maybe having Sri Sri in front of the mantra made it better I dont know. My wife upon learning it though after practicing it twice said to me, "I am my own spirit."  And she never meditated again. I never asked her to either. Nor did she ever ask me to stop or anything else. It was mutual respect. That was her response. Your response as well is up to you. Suck Maharishi's ass if you're into it.

-Yes, It's time to rely on ourselves, I agree. I feel that has been
the lesson in every life-time, though now, it's more critical, to
wake up, and the techniques and knowledge and transfer of
information is there, so leaves little room for excuses.
