Your reinterpretation of the Iranian Revolution is remarkable. I was
there on the first Minister Training course and saw 84 buildings get
blown up one day because 84 people had been shot by the Shah's
army the day before. I saw soldiers running down the alleyway
next to our hotel shooting at people. I read newspapers every day
for over 2 months that listed many hundreds dead and many more
"disappeared".

If this is a peaceful transition, then I wonder what needs to
happen for you to consider it violent?

Peron was dictator of Argentina way before Maharishi was teaching
TM anywhere, so I don't know what you had in mind here.

Possibly Pinochet of Chile? Who managed to "disappear" thousands
of Chileans after a violent coup d'etat that saw the murder of
hundreds, including the legally elected president, Allende?

Get you facts straight before you begin to draw broad conclusions.
