I'm struck by the phrase "of necessity." Seems to
me it was put in to confirm what most of us suspect,
that MMY has become too frail, and almost certainly
too ill, to do much of anything but rest. It's not
MMY's choice, in other words. Unless I've missed
something, this is the only official assertion to
this effect that we've seen so far.

One can only hope he's relatively comfortable and
not in pain.
