I have lost some contacts that I had from last year when I was combing the web for charities. There are countless gurus and lamas who run orphanages, who work with the UN to try to get notice for human and animal and land rights. And so on. I think there must be a formula for determining the goodness/benefit of a guru or spiritual figure, but obviously notoriety is not it.
