Didn't even know that Orcas cruised the waters up here but big news the other day when about a dozen beachgoers saw an adult Orca, apparently a mother teaching her calf the hunting technique, surf up onto the beach, grab a seal, and then slam it down, before rejoining the calf and moving on. This particular hunting technique hadn't been observed before in North American waters.
