The Democratic Congress going back to Jimmy Carter caused this mess. And that includes their "wealthy" Democratic benefactors, especially the ones that ran Fanny and Freddy. It was regulation that caused this mess...and we can only hope that the free market will be used properly in order to solve this mess.
