Okay, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area but we have this stupid thing in the US called Daylight Saving Time. And in their infinite wisdom the wonks of the Bush era decided to move it up about a month. So my usual morning walk is going to be delayed until it warms up enough or maybe just go for a walk an hour later which would be the same "Sun" time I went for the walk last week.
I'll have to be careful driving to the park where I walk as jet lagged drivers will be out and about. You see when DST goes into effect the auto insurance industry says there is an 8% rise in auto accidents for about two weeks due to the "jet lag" everyone who lives by the clock (I actually don't) has. Apparently one of the "rumored" objectives of the Obama administration is to get rid of DST. It turns out it actually doesn't save any energy and actually increases energy use. Start watching for articles about the pitfalls of DST.
