My wife is a practicing lawyer here in Brazil. The fellow's story doesn't ring true. Among other reasons in his post including his false claims about child custody, no one can be prevented from receiving his money from the USA. After all, isn't he asking for money from any sucker at Fairfield Life who falls for his act? And FWIW, the other guy he refers to in the USA claiming he wants 'his' kid, is another scam artist.
