Hi Rick, it was on our TTC. When maharishi discussed all other different approaches, he mostly made jokes of other groups and programms.
Like when someone mentioned HareKrshna, he asked: What do they do ? And someone said: They sing and thereby get happy. Who is happy ? maharishi than asked. Most everyone showed up. See, maharishi continued, we dont need to sing to be happy. I liked this way of slapping and getting rid of all other approaches. But when it came to Scientology and Mr. Hubbard, maharishi completely changed, and said: "He is VERY intelligent. If we would have had him in our movement, the world plan already would be fulfilled!" I was really quite surprised... Later I met a Lady, called Mrs. Bown, from England. She had a certain way of "healing", by putting her hands on your soles of your feet, and than looking out the window on the beautiful biew of the baltic sea. Our doc had recommended her, but I only wanted to talk with her. She than mentioned, that she had a PhD in Scientology, and had met the Mr. Hubard herself. Later became a teacher of TM, and when puzzled, what to do, maharishi adviced her, she only could follow one road. She than decided for the TM. Later, when her healing-abilities showed up, she mostly only did that. But strange enough, the organisation of the Mr. Hubbard still where chasing her, and demanded from her to come back into the organization. She later became ill from all that pressure. And that was more than 40 years after she left ... So maybe, the maharishi meant the ideas of Mr. Hubbard. But like I still like the maharishi and all his teachings, but never want to be part of his strange organization again ! It seems, that also Mr. Hubbard has a very strange organization, that in germany even is warned about by government and so on ... So make up your mind. Mr. Hubbard might have been quite intelligent, but there are dozend of very strange scandals with that strange group. Look up Ex-Scientology, if you want to be informed... So maybe it would be good to distinguish that stalinistic group of Mr. Hubbard, and the ideas, he was telling the maharishi, when both met... cheers joerg.
