I would, but my strap-on Yogic Flying butt pads
are at the cleaners. :-)

(Does anybody remember those strap-on butt pads?
Now *that* was one business idea I don't think
had any market other than Siddhas.)

Seriously, if I weren't heading the other direction,
I might just give it a try, just to see how they'd
handle me at the door. I left the TM movement before
there was such a thing as "dome badges." We didn't
have to show you no steeeenkin' badges back during
the short time I butt-bounced with the group in L.A.

So I suspect my sudden appearance at the door would
actually present a problem. I am a governor, actually
an executive governor, because I was also a TM teacher.
And at one point I was even a minor honcho in the TMO
in the U.S. But I'd be willing to bet that no one
would be able to find any piece of paper that proved
it. I know I don't have such a piece of paper.

But it's all moot anyway, because I'm about to head
down to a little medieval village in the Cevennes for
three weeks or so. Lookin' forward to it.

It actually would never even have *occurred* to me
to show up in Vlodrop until you mentioned it; I've
been away from the TM movement that long. But now
that you have, part of me almost wishes I could go.
I mean, wouldn't it be a zoo for someone like me?
I've missed out on a thousand weirdness that many
people who hung in there all this time take for
granted. They would just *floor* me. It would be
one of the experiences of a lifetime -- a Tantric's
wet dream of an adventure.

But alas, I am booked up in the adventure department.
I'm going to spend my time down south walking around
in Cathar country, hiking from castle to castle,
spending the night up at Quéribus and Montsegur and
PĂ©yreperteuse again. Look up photos of them on the
Net. I will miss not getting to see the pomp and
circumstance that I'm sure will be present in Vlodrop,
but based on past experience I suspect I'll manage to
have a few adventures of my own.
