To All: President Obama is planning get the troops out of Afghanistan in time for the next election. If the plan works out, he can say that he finished the war decisively. But in reality, he's actually buying time to build the Afghan army which will eventually carry the responsibility of protecting the current regime in that country.
Whether the Afghan army is ready or not, Obama will pull out the troops to protect his own political interest. If he fails to do so, he will be a one term president. In my opinion, the Americans are sick and tired of this war. It is draining the economy and is causing the recession that we're still experiencing now. At this time, we are living on borrowed time as far as the economy is concerned. We cannot continue spending dollars elsewhere without reducing our national debt. If we don't heed the signs, the US economy will collapse. JR
