The southwest U.S. has experienced severe droughts long before Daniel Plainview 
sludged up his first barrel of oil.

And there will continue to be droughts every now and then.

Has ZERO to do with CO2 emisisons.  Indeed, if anything, CO2 is good for 
growing things.
