BTW, not always but sometimes, it's helpful to scan
the comments to a controversial article or blog post
for links to supporting/rebutting material, and/or
informed clarifying remarks. See, for instance, the
comments thread titled "Gross Misrepresentations"
under this blog post (starts about halfway down the
page).

You usually have to plow through a whole lot of garbage
to find the good stuff, and there won't always be any,
but in my experience it's worth a shot.
