Yahoo!'s terms of use forbid cross posting. There's a post on Yahoo's ExAmma groups from a person offering a free copy of her book about being with Amma. The lady doesn't want to spoil our reading of the book so she briefly tells how she fell hook, line and sinker for Amma, how Amma was her who life. She said she lost everything, even launched into great depression. Finally she left and became a Christian. Exactly as Eric Hoffer said it would go. True believer in one religion, true believer in another. I knew a number of former drug addicts who gave up drugs when they became Christians. And they were addicted to Jesus the way they had previously been addicted to drugs.
